Trunk Shows
Karen shows samples of her work and discusses the creative process. She emphasizes the importance of telling our own stories in our quilts. From our initial choice of a project through our decisions about fabric, to our final quilting stitches we are communicating ourselves to those we love. She poignantly and humorously illustrates with stories from her own life, emphasizing the role of her friends and family in launching her design business.
Classes
Karen teaches all of her patterns. She will discuss with you the particular needs of your group. Do members prefer a beginning class or something more challenging? Are you interested in learning a specific technique? Karen likes to consult closely with each group to arrange something exciting.
Two of her most popular patterns are the "Wallet" and "Sweet or Sassy" shoulder bag. Either class can be finished in 3-4 hours and is designed so that each class members finishes the product and has a new creation to take along. A third popular offering is "Quilting Basics," an introduction to a variety of quilting techniques.
